Began political career as administrative aide to Congressman. Ultimately he was called to served as aide to Tennessee U.S. Senator during his effort to win Presidential nomination

After four years in Washington Stan returned to his home state of Calif. and  formed the  Ford Long Co. a general lobbying firm. His many activities in the public field included several years on Los Angeles radio & television, commenting on political happenings in the state.

He was appointed and served for four years to a commission within the Parks and Recreation Dept.  by the County of Los Angeles. His career as an active lobbyist included: president of a state trade organization; serving on city commissions, and organizing lobbying seminars throughout the state.

Long formed THE LOBBY CHANNEL and with his wife, co-authored EVERYBODY LOBBIES.


Taught political science, economics, history and career counseling in high school and  community college levels for a total of thirty five years’ Masters degrees include education, political science, and counseling. Elected to Pi Sigma Alpha, a political science honorary  fraternity and Phi Kappa Phi honorary fraternity.

In addition to teaching, she authored the curriculum for five different courses of study. Co-wrote  numerous successful grant proposals. Assisted in organizing and  conducting national trade association conventions. Organized and presented successful seminars on lobbying. Co-authored  Everybody Lobbies and is now completing a second book on the anticipatory sets for social studies teachers.
